Le TP US arrive en mai et Mai-juin-juillet sont les mois fantasy.. on peut se dire que donc ce sera juin ou juillet (mais est annoncé.. juin.. pas sur que ce soit fini)

Mais j'avoue que j'étais passé totalement à côté de l'info... Enfin, je ne suis pas si pressé, car je continue la lecture de cette série dans le format Nomad.

ca fait plus d un an voire un an et demi (EDIT : en fait plus juin 2021).. y a eu un cross Batman/big wolf puis le retour de la série pour 10 numéros puis Willingham c est faché avec DC et a indiqué qu il voulait que fables passe dans le domaine public (que DC a bien sur contesté)

Ca reste un peu tôt mais les 3 titres ultimates sont dans le top 10 dont le 2eme numéro de black panther qui dans sa version 616 arrive rarement a rester dans le top 50 si ce n est aujourd hui dans le top 100 et même 150.

La franchise Hasbro se porte bien chez Kirkman

cap revient direct au classement de la précédente série (et on en a qu une donc moins de thunes) et je trouve que c est justifié (pas pour la précédete).
Quelle erreur ce relaunch pour scarlet witch.. la série était dans le top 50 sans quicksilever et là ca dérape completement. Alors c est qu une mini mais que va donner le relaunch qui suit? est ce que ca n aurauit pas été plus haut en simple arc de la érie précédente?

J ai bien aimé Tbolts.. je suis le seul et donc ca sent pas bon pour un quelconque retour de cette version. Le film permettra surement une nouvelel chance mais bon..

Bon Black Panther continue de creuser en dessous de tout ce qu aucun titre marvel est allé (en général ca fait un bail que la série devrait être arrêtée). Heureusement Captain Marvel creuse plus profond
Chez DC penguin doit etre un echec.. outsiders aussi.. bon j ai pas lu mais je sens que les nom de laznig/Kelly font fuir.. bon un petit passage sur les mutants leur feront du bien.. tout s achète avec un X ou un spider.. même si c est écrit avec les pieds et ils ecrivent bien mieux que ca.

Voir Flash et Green Arrow dans ls titres du bas c est assez surprenant aussi. J ai lu quelques Green Arrow et je trouvais ca pas mal.. y a quand même bien pire sur le marché. Le premier Flash m a pas convaincu mais bon de là en être là aussi.

Bloodhunt arrive en 6 mais la red band est 14eme
Ultimate spidey et xmen et même Panther continuent de fonctionner comme transformers
Wolvie/deadpool commence fort
Avengers Twilight grime depuis numéro pour revenir dans le top 10. C est assez rare pour noter une série qui progresse en vente(même si c est pareil pour Ultimate BP)

Les top de mars et avril semblent compliqué avec de multiples titres comme Thor ou captain America qui ont leur ventes partagés entre les mois.. et donc le classement ne dit pas grand chose.

Cependant le 1 est encore dans le top 50ce mois ci donc... il a peut etre eu des ventes qui le mettait sur le podium en mars
Avengers twilight sort du top 25
Wonder woman se maintient bien. nightwing est bien placé. Something is killing the children continue de bbien fonctionner comme l eregon universe
geiger et rook exodus sont dans le top 50 avec le #2 ce qui est plutôt bien pour un comics indé (bon par des superstars mais souvent ca ne va pas si haut)

Ultimate et transformers se maintiennent bien

Image/Skybound a bien réussi son coup avec la reprise des franchises Hasbro. Le succès de Transformers est quand même assez phénoménal. Un peu pareil pour les spin-offs "Energon Universe" de Duke et Cobra Commander qui font partie du Top 50 de façon récurrente : à voir si cela va continuer avec les nouveaux spin-off Scarlett et Destro.

Un des articles mentionne le succès un peu surprenant des reprises de vieilles séries, en citant encore Thundercats et Conan, qui sont aussi dans le Top 100. Plutôt cool au demeurant — même si le reboot de Thundercats chez Titan est in fine assez moyen et je me demande si continuer à la fin de l'arc en cours (pareil pour Masters of the Universe Revolution : 1er numéro très décevant, mais je m'en doutais un peu — j'attends un peu plus de Turtles of Grayskull à la rentrée, dessiné par Freddie Williams II)...

G.I. Joe (classique — "ARAH") et Conan restent mes deux séries favorites parmi toutes ces "résurrections".

Top 50 de Juillet.. Mutants et Ultimate dominent.. je pensais que TMNT depassait les 300 000 et ils sont 2eme???
Compliqué de juger Absolute power qui a une resolicitaion 23eme aprés avoir été 15eme le mois dernier. Les ties ins ont quand même un boost de vente.
Blood hunt finit bas mais là aussi comment savoir si sans la version red band il serait pas bien plus haut ou pas?
Le EC epitaph de Oni est 35eme!
Captain America revient dans le top 50 sans que je sache pourquoi.. (pas de tie ins. rien de marketting.. et bon c est pas la qualité du titre qui fait revenir. Je dis pas que c est nul mais de là a fair emieux que le volume précédent..)

Le point sur Cap permet de mettre en valeur sur le top 200, un changement dans la "bataille des franchises" evidemment Xmen prend la premiere place mais spidey ou batman ne sont pas second?

The X-Men franchise took first place with five comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50.

The Avengers franchise took second place with one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50.

The Batman franchise took third place with zero comics in the Top 10, one comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50.

The Spider-Man franchise took fourth place with two comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.

The Ultimate Universe took fifth place with three comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50.

This is a big shakeup in the Battle of the Franchises. We have not seen the Spider-Man franchise this low in the battle results in a very long time.

Si la tendance se poursuit.. ca va faire mal avec une sortie du top 100 au plus tard au 5 (mais possible dés le 3)

Pour les Dead Titles Walking, le site a rajouté les comics image. Je trouve que ce n est pas comparable car Image n avait pas cette fameuse barre du top 100 (Marvel) voire top 120 pour DC comme ligne de flotaison mais je vous le mets

OK. Je serai en tout cas intéressé par ta vision sur les séries From the Ashes quand tu y seras.
J'en ai commencé plusieurs (mais j'ai fait l'impasse sur Exceptional X-Men, Dazzler et NYX notamment) et c'est assez inégal, je trouve : Uncanny X-Men avec WV, Gambit et Rogue est celui qui m'a paru le plus prometteur (et avec le meilleur dessin, de David Marquez), suivi par X-Men tout court et Phoenix dont le second numéro était mieux que le premier.

Absolute Power est compliqué à suivre avec tous les tie-ins. Ce n'est pas très fluide et assez inégal entre les équipes de scénaristes-dessinateurs qui alternent. Quelques numéros sont quand même sympas, comme le Wonder Woman 12 ou les Green Arrow. Après, je ne suis pas fin connaisseur des super-héros DC, faut dire, donc ça n'aide pas non plus.

J'ai des doutes sur cette phrase :

Quand Urban a été lancé, les comics se vendaient mieux que les mangas, qui perdaient des parts de marché.

Urban comics a été créé en 2011. Alors certes, à l'époque, les mangas n'étaient pas au niveau actuel. Mais ils avaient quand même bien progressé depuis leur lancement dans les années 90.

Après une rapide recherche, je vois qu'en 2010, parmi les séries les plus vendues, il y avait 4 mangas, dont 2 aux deux premières places (Naruto et One piece) et un seul comics, les Simpsons (3ème) : http://adafec.blogspot.com/2011/01/le-m ... 10-et.html

Le rapport de l'ACBD pour 2010 indique :

Cependant, ces 3811 nouveaux albums concernent toujours les 4 mêmes principaux lectorats du 9e art :- - - -

Légère baisse du pourcentage de nouveaux albums pour les mangas et légère hausse pour les comics : il s'agit certes du nombre d'albums, et non des ventes ; mais la phrase du directeur d'Urban me laisse quand même sceptique.

Absolute Power #2 climbed from the number 15 spot to the number 7 spot. This is what I expected from this four-issue big event. Absolute Power’s debut issue got caught up in an odd shipping schedule for the June 2024 and July 2024 rankings. I would expect Absolute Power to remain a Top 10 seller.

Absolute Power Task Force VII #4 climbed from the number 98 spot to the number 62 spot. Absolute Power Task Force VII #5 then fell to the number 107 spot.

Absolute Power Origins #2 fell from the number 88 spot to the number 130 spot. This three-issue mini-series has been a total sales failure. Everyone outside of a DC editor knew this was going to happen. John Ridley is a Hollywood guy who has never had sales success in mainstream superhero comics. And this title centers on Amanda Waller who is just not as popular as DC Comics thinks she is. Obviously, this mini-series will conclude well into the Dead Titles Walking category.

BOOM! Studios had eighteen dead titles walking out of BOOM! Studios’ nineteen new titles in August 2024. This means that 95% of the new BOOM! Studios titles in August 2023 were dead titles walking.

It is disappointing to see how poorly the Power Rangers titles are performing. The Power Rangers should be a valuable license. One needs to only look over at Image Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, and IDW Publishing to see how properties from the 1960s-1990s can perform well in the Top 200.

Having said that, I am not surprised that the two Power Rangers titles are dead titles walking. The farther BOOM! Studios gets away from the classic Power Rangers and the more “modern” their take on the Power Rangers gets the less popular it will become.

Power Rangers: Infinity #1 failing to even debut in the Top 200 is a total disaster. This is no surprise as this comic looked as cringe as possible.

BOOM! Studios took fourth place with seven new comics in the Top 200 in August 2024.

Even more concerning is that the Star Trek license appears to be useless in the hands of IDW Publishing. Both Star Trek titles went unranked. IDW Publishing continues its trend of fumbling its licenses. The best move Hasbro made was pulling their license from IDW Publishing.

Oni Press had six dead titles walking out of Oni Press’ eight new titles in August 2024. This means that 75% of the new Oni Press titles in August 2023 were dead titles walking.

Oni Press took eighth place with two new comics in the Top 200. Both were EC titles.

As usual, we will address most of these debut issues in their respective franchise sections below. However, there is one that we will touch on at this point.

DC Horror Presents Creature Commandos #1 scored an embarrassingly awful debut with the number 200 spot. This six-issue limited series is almost a lock to be unranked with just the second issue. David Dastmalchian is the writer for this mini-series. While Dastmalchian is an excellent actor, what he is not is a mainstream superhero comic book writer. Once again, the weird obsession that both DC Comics and Marvel Comics have for hiring Hollywood talent to write comics completely blows up in DC Comics’ face.

Venom War had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was worse than in August 2024 when Venom War had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.

Venom War #2 fell from the number 5 spot to the number 18 spot. Venom War #3 fell from the number 18 spot to the number 62 spot. It is tough when a title ships two issues in the same sales period. I expect Venom War #4 to rebound into the Top 50 next month.

Venom War: Wolverine #1 debuted poorly at the number 55 spot. This three-issue limited series is going to have to fight to stay in the Top 75.

Venom War: Deadpool #1 had an awful debut taking the number 88 spot. This three-issue mini-series had a tough road ahead to finish outside the Dead Titles Walking category.

Venom War: Spider-Man #2 plummeted from the number 45 spot to the number 89 spot. This is not a surprise given the weak debut number. Jackson Lanzig and Collin Kelly have yet another sales failure despite being paired up with the human ATM known as Peter Parker.

Venom War: Spider-Man #3 crashed and burned falling from the number 89 spot to the number 177 spot. No doubt that it is tough shipping two issues in the same sale period, but Venom War: Spider-Man is a lock to conclude in the Dead Titles Walking category with the fourth and final issue.

Venom War: Carnage #2 dropped from the number 73 spot to the number 132 spot. Given the bad debut number, I figured that this would happen. Torunn Grømbekk failed to get readers excited about this Venom War tie-in mini-series. This title is a lock to finish in the Dead Titles Walking category.

Venom War: Venomous #2 fell from the number 88 spot to the number 133 spot. Erica Schultz continues to have no sales success. Readers certainly were not enticed by the prospect of a Venomized Black Widow. This three-issue mini-series will conclude as a Dead Title Walking.

Venom War: Lethal Protectors #1 had a brutal debut at the number 150 spot. Wow. We all saw this coming. Sabir Pirzada is the writer and has never had any sales success. Once again, hiring a Hollywood screenwriter to pen a mainstream superhero comic book blows up in Marvel Comics’ face. Yet, like a mindless idiot, Marvel Comics editorial will continue to pull out this same trick in the future. The big question is if this three-issue mini-series will be ranked in the Top 200.

Venom War Zombiotes #2 plummeted from the number 126 spot to the number 180 spot. This four-issue mini-series has a good chance of concluding outside the Top 200. Cavan Scott continues his trend of having no sales success.

Venom War Daredevil #1 had a godawful debut barely even getting ranked and taking the number 181 spot. What an embarrassing debut. Nobody was interested in Christopher Condon’s one-shot issue.

The main Venom War title has been a solid seller. But, the Venom War mini-series have all been unmitigated disasters. The biggest reason for that is due to Marvel Comics hiring an awful collection of writers for the Venom War mini-series.

Absolute Power had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50. This was worse in the Top 10 but flat in the Top 25 and Top 50 compared to August 2024 when Absolute Power had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50.

Absolute Power #3 fell from the number 7 spot to the number 10 spot. Absolute Power #4 fell from the number 10 spot to the number 21 spot. It is embarrassing when the main big event title gets outsold by a tie-in issue.

Still, Absolute Power was a good selling big event for DC Comics. It would have been more impressive is all four issues managed to finish in the Top 10. But, slotting two of the four issues in the Top 10 is still a good accomplishment.

Absolute Power Task Force VII #6 bounced up from the number 107 spot to the number 72 spot. Absolute Power Task Force VII #7 fell from the number 72 spot to the number 93 spot. This tie-in title was a sales disappointment. But, at least it finished outside of the Dead Titles Walking category.

Absolute Power Origins #3 fell from the number 130 spot to the number 152 spot. With this issue, this mini-series concludes. Nobody was interested in an origin story of Amanda Waller from John Ridley. Once again, a Hollywood screenwriter finds no success writing a mainstream superhero comic.

La franchise Hasbro est une réussite. Ghost machine se porte bien. L univers Ultimate est dans le top 25

L ensemble des séries mutantes se classent dans le top 60.. un bon début.

Bon attention car la regle du top 100 s apllique surtout à Marvel et dans une moindre mesure à DC (qui laissait ses titres vertigos ou kids bien plus bas).
