Je ne connais pas les films que tu cites mais le fait qu'on ne voie pas le conducteur quasiment jusqu'à la fin (certes, dans Duel, on ne le voit pas du tout) m'a fait penser à Duel.En googuelant un peu, je vois que Christine est cependant aussi cité comme source d'inspiration. Sur le wiki de Jojo :

Duel never depicted its driver in focus except for a single shot of his arm, which appears to have inspired the idea of ZZ's muscular arms being the only visible part of him until the end of the arc, when it is revealed that the rest of his body is scrawny and ugly.
