I'm wanting a touch of european pride sparked off in the frenchman who based in the south of france rarely sees an englishman but then suprisingly finds himself helping one that morning. Perhaps 'Me helping the english! Suddenly I feel all european.' would be stronger.
At present I have a sprinkle of cameos throughout my strip that show the french not as british stereotypes, but as decent minded people that the british don't understand largely because of our sometimes ridiculous patriotic views and inability to converse in other languages.

you can say that again mate!
I propose:
(Super ! Du premier coup !)
Sortir un Anglais du pétrin... Y'a pas à dire, je suis un vrai européen !
or
(Du premier coup ! Génial !)
Un Anglais... Entre Européens, faut bien s'entraider !
I prefer the last one.
